Intervention Teacher on Special Assignment (ToSA)

Hello Pleasant View Roadrunners,

My name is Mrs. Lucila Macias and I've had the honor to serve Pleasant View and its wonderful community in various capacities for 27 years.  I've been a Bilingual Instructional Aide, K-6th Grade Teacher, Curriculum, Technology, and Intervention Coach, and Assistant Principal.  It's now an honor to come back as the Intervention Teacher on Special Assignment during the 2021-2022 school year.

I've attended various colleges and universities to obtain my degrees and credentials.  I first attended Mt. San Antonio College for my Associate's Degree.  Then, I graduated from Cal State Fullerton with my Bachelor's Degree in Child Development.  In 2003, I earned my Master's Degree in Education with the Option in Reading from Cal State Los Angeles.  Finally, I went to Azusa Pacific University to obtain a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership.  As you can see, I love to go to school!

I firmly believe that college is the path for our Roadrunners.  Therefore, I encourage that all our students do their homework, study, read, pay attention in class, ask questions when they don't understand and do their best to reach their educational goals.  Just like the well-known author, Dr. Seuss, said, "The more that you read, the more things you will know.  The more that you learn, the more places you'll go."

Let's have a great year, Roadrunners!
